Common Abbreviations In Real Estate

Real estate advertising often includes lots of abbreviations. This is done to communicate as much information as possible about a property in a limited amount of space. The abbreviations can, at times, be a little confusing.

Here are some of the most common abbreviations and what they mean.

  • A/C – Air Conditioning
  • AEK – All Electric Kitchen
  • BA – Bathroom
  • BIBB – Built In Book Cases
  • BICC – Built in China Cabinet
  • BR – Bedroom
  • CAC – Central Air Conditioning
  • CFAN – Ceiling Fan
  • APPLS – Appliances
  • C/VAC – Central Vacuum
  • CP – Car Port
  • D/D – Dishwasher/Disposal
  • DR – Dining Room
  • FDR – Formal Dining Room
  • DK – Deck
  • DET – Detached
  • FP – Fireplace
  • GAR – Garage
  • HDW – Hardwood Floors
  • KIT – Kitchen
  • LR – Living Room
  • S/P – Swimming Pool
  • UPR – Upper Floor
  • W/D – Washer/Dryer
